Project Description

Previously our client had been experiencing damp and condensation in their bedrooms and initially they commissioned a local company to line their original Finlock concrete gutters with GRP. This stopped rainwater from getting into their home. However, it did not totally eradicate their damp and condensation problems. This was due to a fundamental design flaw that affects concrete gutters. Unfortunately, Finlock concrete gutters suffer from a problem known as cold bridging. You can read more about this on our Finlock Concrete Guttering webpage. In short, the only solution was to cut the Finlock gutters away from the home, insulate the remaining concrete roof-plate and replace the guttering with a new UPVC roofline system. This included, UPVC fascias, soffits, bargeboards, PVC guttering and drainpipes. This has completely eradicated the damp and condensation issues. Our customers were extremely complementary about the overall appearance and our workmanship and agreed to leave us an and left us an excellent review.
